Are there any games on Steam like Gran Turismo?

Okjoek

It's been years since I played Gran Turismo 4 on our PS2. Are there any games like that on Steam?

My favorite thing was how you actually play as real world cars and not just cars designed for racing. I don't drive IRL so I don't actually know anything about cars.

I'd look into emulating GT1 and GT2 (after purchasing the discs of course)
Upscaling, smoothing jagged edges, also costs bugger all.

Or modern Forza as previously mentioned.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

No, not really. Closest bet would be a UWP game, namely Forza Motorsport 7 and Forza Horizon 3 and 4.

Project CARS predominately focuses on exotic cars and race cars, while Assetto Corsa is focused on hardcore racing. Right, it sucks. It pains me to be forced to emulate Gran Turismo 3 just to get my fix of driving a semi-regular car.

You can pay a buck for the xbox pc game pass for 1 month and play Forza 4. You can also try "Next Car Game" which is an indie game with very good car crash and driving mechanics.

Project Cars 2? It's also super cheap with the Steam sale right now.  Maybe Assetto Corsa, but I've never played that one.

I dunno, depends on how far ranging you want the car selection to be.
