Anything, really. Something that's really good and deeply discounted, was hoping this thread would serve as a guide to help find things in the sale for other users too

Alien Isolation is pretty cheap right now. I've heard great things, still haven't bought it. Might grab it during the winter Steam sale.

No Man's Sky is amazing, but only if you're willing to dump A LOT of time into it.

Yakuza 0 for $5 is a steal. It's normally only $20, but still, $5 for one of the most creative games of the generation. It can be anywhere from 30 to maybe 150 hours depending how deep you go into the sidequests. Really strong story and voice acting (though no English dub), the sidequests are absolutely hilarious, the main game is a modern brawler with some fun combat moves, and it's pretty entertaining how one minute it's a serious as cancer crime tale and then pivots into being really weird Japanese humor the next. Plus if you like old-school arcade games there are Sega Arcades you can walk to into the game to play them. I think in Yakuza 0 the arcade games you can play are Space Harrier, Outrun, and Fantasy Zone and they're the actual arcade games and can be played fullscreen. I think Jim Sterling makes a great argument for this series and why it's such a breath of fresh air compared to the typical go collect shit in random places to pad the length of the game kind of open world games.

You can also get all three of Yakuza 0-2 for $26.97. I don't know if if they're still doing it, but also on Day 1 of the sale I bought these three games (already played them on PS4 got them on PC to be able to play in Japanese and for better performance) and then added a couple of cheap games to get my price before tax just over $30 so I could use the $5 off on $30 purchase coupon Steam was offering and actually get this bundle for $25 plus get a couple of cheap games thrown in (I think I picked a couple of old Dreamcast era Sonic games). Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami 1, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 are all awesome games but if you don't want to commit to spending $25 to $27 on the pack of three probably still worth checking out Yakuza 0 for $5. Though I can't vouch for the mouse and keyboard controls since I use a wired Dualshock 4 for it on PC.

It is great for people who can get it running.  My brother bought it for me not long ago and the game refuses to run on a pc with specs much higher than recommended.  So sick of dealing with work around type things for games when these companies still letting their games be sold doing nothing to update them.  Seriously how hard is it to put out a patch? As for playing this I played it on console and to me for the little I played it (and ended up getting stuck) well it wasn't anything special.  Still to each their own.

Weird, I haven't heard of anyone else having that problem and I have a few friends that have the game.

I wonder if he just has a really weird configuration or some other issue that's causing it to fail.

Haha, yet another reason why I very rarely buy games at launch.

Though, I preordered the C&C remake, and I'm preordering CyberPunk.

If you like arcade physics racers with forgiving handling get forza 7, but if you have a racing wheel and like mods and have a bit of time to learn assetto corsa is incredible. be warned, you try to drift and chuck it in a corner you will spin out and it frustrates people who then give up.

if you are new to sim racing and want to try it at a low cost, assetto corsa and project cars 2 are a steal right now in the sales but it's best played with a wheel.
