You probably want to upgrade your gpu. Do you have a budget? probably something like a 5700xt or 2070 is a good bet

Will my CPU bottleneck the 2070? I was also told by a friend that my PSU is not very good. Budget is not an issue, but I would like to spend less than $1500 for the upgrade!

Thermaltakes PSU's are usually junk.  So I'd replace that, grab a 2070 or 5700xt and upgrade to at least a 3600 or 3700x :)

AMD R7 3700X

32GB Mushkin Redline 3200MHz DDR4

Aorus A530 Elite WIFI

Bequiet Shadow Rock 3

EVGA RTX 2060 Super

Phanteks AMP 650W

Fractal Pop Air

Windows 11 / Arch Linux

Any ideas what PSU I should get? That's exactly what my friend told me! I think it's definitely time to upgrade my PSU.

Well if they wait until Zen 3, they will also need a new motherboard.  B350/X370 will NOT support Zen 3.

As far as PSU I would say:

Corsair RMx

Corsair AXi

Corsair HXi

Coolermaster MWE Gold

Seasonic Focus Gold

Seasonic Prime Gold / Platinum / Titanium

Evga G2

Evga G3

Something like that.

You can check the

AMD R7 3700X

32GB Mushkin Redline 3200MHz DDR4

Aorus A530 Elite WIFI

Bequiet Shadow Rock 3

EVGA RTX 2060 Super

Phanteks AMP 650W

Fractal Pop Air

Windows 11 / Arch Linux

An RTX 2060 would be a good option if you have the money.

5600xt

Is better value with the same frame buffer size and it's generally cheaper

Get a better power supply. I'd look at a 700 watt power supply, considering you will upgrade the graphics card

No lmao

A 2080ti and a 3950x would work on a 550w

And wattage has nothing to do with quality and  the PSU is fine for now

Get more ssd storage. Some games are 100gb! Definitely get more ssd storage.

You don't know OP's needs

My thoughts:

1. Get a better graphics card. An RTX 2060 would be a good option if you have the money.

2. Get a better power supply. I'd look at a 700 watt power supply, considering you will upgrade the graphics card.

3. Get more ssd storage. Some games are 100gb! Definitely get more ssd storage.

4. Do you have any case fans? Try to put some case fans.

1. Is a 2070 pushing it too far? A 2060 would be easier on my budget for sure.
2. I am looking into upgrading my power supply first!
3. I was also thinking of adding more storage.
4. I do have two case fans located on top and on the side of my motherboard. I was thinking of also upgrading my cpu cooling to liquid cooling but also unsure where to start with that.

Thanks for the feedback!
