Looking for a new case

So I have been having problems with the CPU temp with my current PC case (Sharkoon VG5-W blue). With help from other people on this forum, we have basically concluded that airflow and poor cable management were the problem. But with this case its very hard to move cables out of the way of the fans. Plus there are brackets in the way of the fans with only 2 real holes per fan. And these brackets cannot be removed. But we managed to sort of move the cables out of the way, not entirely tho and that made the temps drop 3-4 degrees celcius. But yeah after a 20 minute stress test the cpu is still sitting at 91 degrees celcius. However with gaming its a bit cooler which is logical, but its still hot. Around 80-87 degrees celcius, keep in mind the settings for the game arent on the highest here. So I thought a new case might help here. So my question is: Are there any cases below 100 euros that provide: Good airflow, a good cable management system and perhaps also look good with some rgb fans?

The cooler master td500 has a mesh front with argb fans. If you want something clean without preinstalled rgb fans then the fractal design meshify is good along with the Corsair 275r airflow edition.

Oh that actually looks kind of nice! But on the pic from Amazon it seems to be missing an exhaust fan?

On a budget the Cougar MX330-G and Phanteks P300A (if available for its original release price around $60-70usd) are the best budget friendly options, the Phanteks P400A is also great. Others good airflow options include the Fractal Design Meshify C TG, Corsair 220T Airlfow and 275R Airflow.

Ah those look cool too, altho I like the cooler master one from IC4 the most i think. But thanks for your response!

Yeah the TD500 mesh is good as well.

Most cases do not come with all the fan slots filled, you may need to buy a single 120mm fan for exhaust.

Ooooh I didnt know that, do you perhaps know the name of the fans in the front of the TD500 mesh. I want to try and match the fans in the case.

It would just be a Cooler Master fan. Any of these ARGB fans will work perfectly:

Not saying that im going to do it. But I believe you can place 3 more fans at the top of the case right? If I would do that, which top fans would need to be intake and which would be exhaust. I heard that is important to think about, because the pressure?

I would only do 2x fans at the top and 1x at the back, all of which I would set to exhaust. I would also personally set some custom fan profiles so the intake fans are spinning a bit faster than the exhaust fans to maintain a good positive airflow setup.

 

But it supports the following fan configs:

Front: 3 x 120mm, 2 x 140mm Top: 3 x 120mm, 2 x 140mm Rear: 1 x 120mm   And radiator configs:   Front: 120/ 140/ 240/ 280/ 360 mm Top: 120/ 240/ 360 mm (44mm max motherboard component height) Rear: 120 mm

How would I exactly make custom fan profiles? Because i dont think my motherboard has that much fan connectors. And my psu only has those molex connectors.

Fan speed can either be controlled in bios or with software usable by your motherboard vendor. 

 

If you do not have a lot of headers on your motherboard you can get fan splitters. Just look up PWM fan splitter on amazon. These fans will not connect via molex, the RGB controller/hub may require a single molex or sata plug for power but that is it. The fans themselves have two connectors coming off them, one is the fan header (3-pin or 4-pin) these connect to the motherboards fan header. And the other is the RGB header than connect to the controller/hub that often only requires a single power source connection and then it would connect to the motherboard header, although ARGB fans may differ, the hub may just require a single 5V ARGB header and that is it.

What motherboard do you have?

 

Yeah In one of my systems I have 6 fans, and two fan headers so I have a two PWM 3x fan splitters.

Yeah pretty well whatever has good reviews and is cheap works fine. 

So if the case fans dont connect to the motherboard directly, would it then be possible to just use the molex connectors? Then I can't acces the fan speeds I know, but as long as my CPU doesn't reach 90 degrees when playing a game on high settings then im happy enough.

The fans connect to the motherboard as in what controls the RPM. I am just unsure of how the RGB connects and how that functions with the included fans, I am really only familiar with the Corsair RGB products.

Okay so I watched an unboxing and they include a controller to control the ARGB fans at the front

Find out how that controller receives power and how you control the RGB with it, if it requires a 5V ARGB header you are out of luck, the fans would still work but not the RGB.

It comes with a controller but I could have swore there’s a way to hook it up to your motherboard, for complete control, those controllers only do so much but to some that serves its purpose. SilverStone Technology Silverstone 8-Port PWM Fan Hub/Splitter for 4-Pin & 3-Pin Fans in Black SST-CPF04-USA (Newest Version) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07N3HP8S5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_sPM6EbWSMFJTB
I use this splitter and it works wonderfully, just a tip though, all the fans will be controlled through one header, I have 6 Corsair ml120s to it and I have them set to 45% speed. I can’t individually change them. If you buy multiple controllers for front and rear you can but one is enough for most. I’m glad you like the case I recommended

So with rgb fans here’s how the connections work, you have the 4 pin pwm connector that plugs in to your motherboard (the splitter will let you connect multiple fans for one port to the motherboard at the cost of not being able to control them separately but instead as one unit) and then another cable for the rgb. The rgb is completely separate from the fan power. fans I’ve used before could daisy chain the rgb cables and then plug in the end of the cable to your motherboard. Completely negating the reason for a rgb controller because you can do EVERYTHING with your motherboard. Like @TheDailyProcrastinator said you need to find out if the rgb fans take a 12v rgb header or a 5v. Most likely the 12v but don’t count me on that. If it is a 5v rgb connection then you will need to use the included rgb controller and have less controls over your rainbows. But regardless it should work for you no matter what setup you have. Read the instructions and just google stuff you don’t understand but I hope I explained it good enough in here for you
