I found this list and I would pick one of them and use it.

 

the Samsung data migration software isn't bad

Can you get a copy of it without having a Samsung SSD? Will it work without one?

A small update for you guys, I just bought another hard drive for Twofold. It's a Western Digital Caviar Blue 250GB, it's supposed to get here next Thursday so I'll get that installed when it does then Twofold will be 100% operational. Speaking of which I would like to put the 250GB drive on the Win7 half of Twofold and transfer the 160GB to the half that I plan to have XP on, what is a good piece of OS drive cloning software that's free  (or that can be "acquired") so I don't have to reinstall Win7 on the new drive.

 

 

just use http://clonezilla.org/ they are the best for cloning hdd /ssd and even hdd to ssd.

Hey Guys

 

This is more of a status update than anything else, I just thought I would let you guys know that Twofold isn't done yet and that I do have a plan. Financial and medical issues are keeping me from finishing Twofold, I have had a solid plan now for what I want to do with Twofold for some time but while I could finish the case modifications I want to wait until I have the upgrade parts I want in hand so I can do final measurements. Due to my situation it might be some time before this comes to fruition but I am planning to finish it eventually.

 

I don't want to spoil it too much but I plan on using half of Twofold as a file server/HTPC and the other half as a general usage backup rig with a dual boot of Windows 7 and XP(for older games).

 

 

That's pretty much it for now, the next time I update this will be when I've actually done some more stuff or have another update.

You and me both, as it stands now I still don't know when I'll be able to do more to Twofold. I recently scored a pair of cheap 12in monitors for it so I can use the system and I do use it now. However do to my financial situation I'm unable to finish Twofold in the way that I intend to.
