GPD Win Max a.k.a. Nintendo DS on steroids and crack.

This device looks amazing.  I do love emulation, but I am not really sure I could sneak one by the wife.  Especially since 800usd come out to nearly 1100cdn!  I would much rather have this beast than a Nintendo Switch.

Their devices are verry cool. 1280x800 is fine, its 16:10 that I like and I've the same resolutuion in my 12" Thinkpad x201.

I've seen their devices with a lot of customer datacenter techs guys and I ask them why:

- small & light

- real PC

- no touch

- "high" resolution screen - for the size

- real storage

- do real work

- all IO they really need like ethernet, full sized USB & USB-C

- Linux/BSD etc. support - no strange T2 chip, locked down bios etc.

- some even run VM's on it (native Linux and their company Windows in a VM)

- some told me they where wating for one with Thunderbold - they want to connect with an Sonnet Solo 10G SFP+ Adapter for Network testing & troubleshooting

I've heard they call it (the Pocket 2) the EEEPC they ever wanted and for watching video and writing some mails, they also carry an ipad. So two light devices with long battery live and easy charging.

Had to come here because I couldn't get replies on the vids.  So I'm looking at both Win Max & P2 Max.  I'm realistic about their gaming limitations.  So with that in mind I'd think I'd want to go the game streaming route with one.  

 

So my question is:  Wouldn't the better res screen of GPD P2 Max (2560x1600, 340ppi) be better suited for game steaming services (Shadow or GeForceNow) vs the smaller, less resolution screen of this Win Max? Because then the smaller i3 processor of the P2-Max wouldn't really matter as I'd be using a virtual PC. 

 

I'd def go with the Win Max but I hate the lower res screen it has.

One odd thing is that the most expensive option, or perk, just gets you two of them...
