Graphics card!

Hello,

 

I wanted to get people opinion on what graphics card is better. Would you rather have a EVGA GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB KO GAMING Video Card or a Sapphire Radeon RX 5600 XT 6 GB PULSE Video Card?

I would compare the prices personally. It's a very close tossup when it comes to gaming performance. What's the price difference? I'd also look at several benchmarks and use that to judge.

The 5600 XT is $289 and the RTX 2016 is going for $300.

For such a small price difference, I'd take the 2060. The software suite and better encoder are handy.

It's basically personal preference at this point, if you value the benefits that come with the 2060 get it, if you value the better cooler then the 5600XT would be the better option. If you value the benefits of the 2060 but don't want the bad cooler, then you would need to pay more.

I personally would probably look into better coolers for the 2060, mainly because the niche games that I play seems to favor Nvidia GPUs like crazy, but when considering only normal AAA gaming I would probably go with the 5600XT due to the better cooler.

I know it sucks to hear this but if you can I’d wait like a few more months (probably August or September) for the RTX 30 series. The thing is that the RTX 20 series has been pretty bad price to performance since the beginning, and the discount you’d be getting a 2060, right before the 30 series launches is only $50 for its launch MSRP. I can’t guarantee that the 30 series will bring the incredible price/performance that Pascal and Maxwell brought but it will give you a lot more for your many that a 2060 will, I’m certain. If you’re fine with the performance of 2060/5600xt and don’t need more, they’ll likely be heavily discounted to, but if you can’t wait I’d probably go with the Nvidia card. Hope this helps
