i9 9900K price in wake of 10700k?

Now that the 10700K is out do you all think the i9 9900K will drop much in price? Seeing as the 10700K beats out the 9900k in performance for about a $100 less, will the 9900k get some deals that put it below the $410 or so price of the 10700K, or is Intel’s “value” going to keep the 9900k artificially high on the new and used market?

It might drop but not as much as you would think 

Maybe 50 bucks at most 

Also why would you get the 9900k?

The 10700k is basically but cheaper by 180ish dollars or so

its going to stay high new cus intel doesn't discount old stock. and it will keep a used high value as it is the fastest chip to put in those boards. just like how 3770ks, 4770/4790, 6700k/700Ks all have high prices. (everyone forgets about the 5th gen parts)

9900K is still important as an upgrade path for the LGA 1151-V2 socket. Like others are saying, it probably won't fall below the 10700K's price ever.

Who cares, Ryzen is king . Intel low key doesn’t matter hehe
