Can someone check whether these parts are compatible? x

Hi,

I'm running an old Dell xps8700 video editing workstation. She's a little old, containing an i7-4790 but packs a punch (If she had the right parts)! I am upgrading the current r9 270 for an rx480 8gb. The motherboard is a dell preparatory one, and it says I'm running A09 drivers in the bios, but A03 bios in the system info (labelled 'BaseBoard Version'?!   help...

With the info I have given you, does the new gpu sound compatible (software wise, hardware wise I'm fine) with the mobo?

regards,

Dozza

p.s. Hope you're all keeping safe :)

It should be good. I’ve never heard of a bios version stopping gpu compatibility

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Quote or tag me so I can see your response
