Mouse Keeps Disconnecting and Reconnecting :(

Hello dear people of the internet. I have come to this website, to ask for assistance. Over the past couple weeks my mouse keeps disconnecting and reconnecting every 1-10 minutes, sometimes directly after eachother. This has become really annoying. It started happening after I installed a game from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3DIA6EvVZY. My mouse is the steelseries rival 100.

Things I have tried:

- Updating drivers
- Changing ports
- Turning off the "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" setting on all root hubs.

- Disabling USB suspending in power options
- Restarting PC

If someone could help, it would be really appreciated as I can't play any games :(

Test with another mouse would seem obvious?

If another mouse does not fail, then RMA the Steelseries Rival 100

Run a virus scan. If it started after downloading something from a weird link like that you most likely got a virus and that might be causing it.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Quote or tag me so I can see your response

Not much choice than to get another mouse, even just 5£$€ one.

Can even get a cheaper if just for testing...
