Sony NW-E394 mp3 player

I know a MP3 player in 2020 but its awesome not using my phone with distractions

I got the red one ( thought it was cooler) 8GB

I am probably the only 14 year old with a mp3 player

also this review will be about the software too which is free.

pros

1. small and thin this thing fits in that weird pocket in your jeans
2. menus are like my Sony px 370 voice recorder
3. the software is really nice and easy compared to my voice recorder ( that software for my voice recorder looked like something from 2000)
4. it has a volume limiter to save your ears
5. USB micro b I know that its not c but its better than proprietary
6. hold switch to not skipping tracks so nice not to skip around
7. turns weird file codecs m4a, mp4 to aac automatically in software
8. software is very easy to get playlists
9. plays wav I haven't tested flacs
10. build quality face is metal with a plastic back but its very good quality
11. battery has been great for a couple of two days
12. reset switch so nice because it bugs up sometimes
13. displays photos but I don't know why you need to have it to do that 
14. comes with earbuds ( I never used them gave them to my friend the next day)

cons

1. comes with some sample pics but that's easy to delete
2. you can see pixels but that's fine its still easy to see the song
3. not really a con but sometimes it won't show the album picture
4. can't make playlists in player

software

drag and drop music so good and I think its better than Itunes

shows what hasn't been transferred that's cool and awesome

very simple to use and to make playlists

this is not sony's fault this is my fault but I modified it a bit

I had a HiBy R3, which I recently sold.

I'll be buying either a HiBy R5 or R3 Pro to replace it.

I also have a 6G iPod Nano, which I'll be replacing with a Fiio M5 and Shanling M0.

There any mp3 players that can drive my HD 6xxs? I figure some expensive audiophile company might have made one that has like 2h of battery life but that works

I had a Sandisk E260 like in this video.  Plus it has Micro SD card slot + Replaceable batteries.

I have had multiple clip jams they are built like tanks and they almost indestructible

The E260 has a metal backplate and it's basically scratch proof.  Plus the replacement batteries are easy to find on Ebay and Amazon.  The only issue is the blue LED Scroll wheel it starts to randomly scratch too much and it starts to lose it's spin function.   Plus the USB cable isn't easy to find.  And the cases are quite good if you find a good leather case for it.
