Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order Optimisation

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

I've recently upgraded to a MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6GB VENTUS OC Graphics Card from a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. As you would expect, I'm getting exceptional performance in all games I have apart from Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. I'm only getting 80-90 FPS. The FPS fluctuates a lot which is a bit weird. This is epic settings so I downgraded to high settings, still the same problem. I'm using driver 446.14 which is the latest driver. Or is it that the game is not that optimised?

PC Specs:

  • CPU
    AMD Ryzen 5 1600x @ 3.6GHz.
  • Motherboard
    ASUS Prime B350 Plus Motherboard.
  • RAM
    Team Group Vulcan T-Force 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C14 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit - Grey (TLGD416G24.
  • GPU
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Ventus XS OC 6144MB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card.
  • Case
    Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-ALPHA Mid-Tower Gaming Case — Black/Yellow.
  • Storage
Primary: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB SSD. Secondary: Seagate Barrucuda 1TB HDD. Additional Storage: Seagate Barrucuda 1TB HDD.
  • PSU
Be Quiet! Pure Power 11 CM 600w Modular Power Supply.
  • Display(s)
    AOC 24G2U 1080p 144Hz IPS Panel.
  • Cooling
CoolerMaster Liquid Lite 120mm AIO Cooler.
  • Keyboard
Hyper X Alloy FPS Pro Cherry MX Red Keyboard
  • Mouse
    Razer Deathadder Elite V2
  • Sound
HyperX Cloud II Pro 7.1 Surround Sound Headset
  • Operating System
    Windows 10 Home 64-bit.

Any solutions?

Thanks.

It's a hard game to run, but FPS isn't key to it I'd be happy with 80FPS on that type of game with the settings max.

Memory Speeds and CPU to Memory Latency of that CPU generation... that seems about right though..

There is heaps of info out there for Ryzen appreciating and boosting performance with Faster Memory.

Suss Ryzen Memory performance on Hardware Unboxed or Gamers Nexus on YT.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
