Quality/Reliable 1TB SSD

PyroTheWise

So I recently built a PC with 1 TB and as i expected, games are eating up that disk space.   I don't really want a mechanical drive to be honest but might have to go that route (which would probably be the 7200 Seagate Baracuda computer 2Tb drive).

Anyway I am looking at 3 SSDs ->

Silicon Power A55 1 TB

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/nXF48d/silicon-power-a55-1tb-25-solid-state-drive-sp001tbss3a55s25

There is one review where it is claimed Silicon changed the controller making the drive performance horrible.  No current reviews refute or concur so I am not sure if this is true or not.

Crucial MX500 1TB

https://www.newegg.com/crucial-mx500-1tb/p/N82E16820156174?Item=N82E16820156174

WD Blue 1TB

https://www.newegg.com/western-digital-blue-1tb/p/N82E16820250088

I will delete games before I go over 2 TB of total storage.   I am not a collector of games, so re-downloading them if I ever want to play them again is okay by me.

What are your thoughts on the drives above for performance, reliability, etc...   I looked at TC Sunbow and AUData drives but I am concerned about support if there are issues.

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

If you have any available m.2 spots, I would recommend the crucial p1.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

I'm just gonna put this out there, but if it was my money, I would probably spend about 10 bucks more and step up to a Samsung QVO drive. I have a WD Blue M.2 drive myself, but I still stand by the reliability of Samsung SSDs. They're pretty much the gold standard.

That really depends on the location. If you are in Malaysia, you'll find them is on par with other cheaper SSD.

Of those selections I'd probably go WD, but @BlueChinchillaEatingDorito brings up a good point with his drive suggestion.

Yes, I am in the US.

My primary drive is a crucial P1 1 tb NVME drive and my motherboard does not have another M.2 slot.   So my best option is a SSD.

Thank you for your suggestions

I missed the Samsung 860 QVO drive when I was looking before.  Thank you for pointing that out.  I will use either the WD Blue or Samsung QVO.

Thanks again for the suggestions/information
