1080 should be better. No ray tracing but otherwise should give slightly more fps in most games

From what I've seen they trade blows depending on the game. Ray tracing on an RTX 2060 can't be a pleasant experience. My RTX 2080 is borderline for me. Get the GTX 1080. As a bonus, it'll keep more of it's value for resale later.

Even with a 2080 Ti there are games that will overwhelm the card when using Ray Tracing. I remember when I was playing Control, everything on ultra super duper, at 3440x1440, and I was getting 38 fps average in most areas.
