To some extent, however most games will scale better with GPU upgrades, so a cpu upgrade may not be necessary.

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

If your CPU can handle it now, there is 99% of the time no need for an upgrade.

And not every setting that pushes the VRAM Usage is a necessary one.

Just don't use Integrated graphics, upgrading your cpu wont matter.

but if you think it can handle the memory usage then its okay to upgrade your graphic card for more hard games.

Without understanding his specs this statement couldn't be further from the truth.

I would recommend looking into upgrading your CPU when possible 4c/4t for todays gaming is a little lacking. Unless you're just playing MOBA/ESports, but if you're upgrading your GPU I feel that's not the case.
