Separate streaming pc power supply (300w)

i need a pretty good psu for my separate streaming pc which uses a little less than 300w but i will be minorly upgrading it. recommendations?

I'd get a CX450 from Corsair.

Also, the motherboard has 4 DIMM slots - I'd ditch the single 8GB stick in favour of a 2x4GB memory kit to run it in dual-channel. You'll still have the ability to upgrade to 16GB down the line without replacing the memory you will already be using.

buy a better CPU and motherboard for your main rig instead of a second pointless PC.

@Hz Eurythmic Have you checked the PSU Tier list? This is a great resource to see the quality of units you are looking at.

Hard to imagine a 3000G would do better than the turing NVENC encoder, what graphics card are you using in your main PC?

 

The load from that PC would be super light, you don't exactly have to go and get a really nice Tier B PSU. Only a dual core and integrated graphics, the cheap stuff will do.

You still probably want to just upgrade to a GTX 1660 super, it will produce a really high quality stream and you don't have to run a separate PC.

If you are stressing your CPU with RT video encoding a dual core processor just won't be enough. Additionally you would need a capture card bumping up the price of your streaming rig quite a bit. The best and least expensive solution would be to update your current rig with a NVENC capable graphics card.

Depends on your budget (and maybe PSU limits). 2060 Super 1660 super for example.
