I'm looking for a power supply right now because I'm thinking of building my PC a month from now and PSUs are on short supply.  I'm looking for around a 650watt and I found one, but the 750 watt is $5 cheaper.  Is there a reason why?  Should I get the 750w? Will it be OK?  My current estimated power draw is around only 350 watt, but I'm definitely thinking of upgrading later on and want to have the option there for me.

Heres the link: https://www.newegg.com/corsair-rmx-series-rm750x-cp-9020179-na-750w/p/N82E16817139233

Doesn't make sense.

Buy now before Newegg realizes the mistake.

Having 100W more, especially if it costs less, isn't going to hurt.

If it's cheaper then it would be a better option of the two. Since your system only requires 350W you could get the RM550x which is $25 cheaper.

Keep in mind they're all on back order so it might be a few weeks until you get it.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450

In my region, Corsair 850W Gold is 10$ (around 1,200yen) cheaper than 750W. Don't know why but I'm grabbing that 850W now. :D
You should get 750W too for future upgrades.

Yeah that is why I'm buying now, just in case they don't get back into supply when I want to build.  Do you have an idea on what a 550w PSU can run.  The current setup I have on pcpartpicker is a RTX 2060 and Ryzen 5 3600 with 16GB 3600 RAM along with a hard drive and SSD.  How much would a 550w PSU allow me to upgrade?
