EVGA 2080 Super Ultra XC or FTW3 Evga edition?

BurnsFPS

Hey sup everyone,

I'm having a hard time picking between these two card's

The regular 2 fan ultra has better review's but only 2 fans not sure which to pick,

Only thing is I can finance the FTW3 one the 2 fan one I have to buy straight out,

The FTW3 is only 20$ bucks more; let me know which one you think would be better both are the same 2080 super XC models, I could also wait for the MSI gaming trio but thats I think evga is way better support,

Let me know

Thanks :)

The FTW3 is one of the best models of Nvidia cards out there. The EVGA FTW3 and the Asus Rog Strix Gaming OC are the two best aftermarket card models.

Honestly I like my FTW3 ULTRA.  It kicks ass for temperatures, pretty sure it's never been over 67 degrees even overclocked.  That said, I'm sure you'll be happy with either one.  EVGA makes seriously quality boards and have their Step Up program allowing you to pay the difference on an upgrade if you want to.

With regards to VRM cooling the FTW3 card will slightly edge out the the XC Ultra, but the XC is pretty well just as good.

Just make sure the FTW3, a triple fan card, will fit in your case. Also, the XC Ultra is a 3x slot card as it is thicker than the FTW3 card which is why it is still a very good card with regards to cooling.

I have a XC ultra, and it does a great job, pretty good overclocker too (now on liquid).  Only a 2 fan so on air it wasnt bad (still beefy 3 slot heatsink) in terms of noise but not really quiet.

Buddy of mine just got a FTW3, and like the strix, its huge, beefy, and because of that runs fast and quiet.  Most importantly, they are supposedly shipping with the higher quality chips on that card I believe;  coming with higher boost clocks, and potentially more room to OC.

Both good cards, FTW3 a little better if you can afford the price difference

Yea I think I'm going to get the evolv x so it should fit; very hard choice though I might be going with the ftw3, thanks for that link

Only other option is the gaming x trio but I heard the support is alot worse

EVGA has some of the best costumer support so you can't go wrong with them, I have 2 EVGA GPU's right now, neither have had issues though! But from those on here who have, EVGA seems to be one of the best companies to deal with when going through an RMA process.
