Laptop HDMI display out, not screen resolution.

What resolution is it tapping out at? If it's tapping out at your laptop display's resolution, then you might have to set it to only display on the external display, that or set it to extend the display.

I'm trying to use my laptop with an external display but the setting wont allow the "full HD" resolution of my screen, even if i take out the laptop display itself. Any suggestions?

At me or quote me, I want to hear your opinion.

 

Hopefully anything I say is factually correct. Sorry for any mistakes in advanced.
