Prebuild PC with glued connectors?

Smetad_Anarkist

I was unplugging cables so I could replace the PSU with a newer one. And this one proved to be very difficult to remove, It appears to have been glued in place? Is that common among prebuilt computers? Does it serve a purpose other than annoying the paying customer?

And does anyone know how to remove it without damaging to much?

(Sorry for the blurry picture)

It's mostly to prevent things from coming unplugged. Can be a reason to return as faulty for those who wouldn't know how to fix it.

Molex connectors are hard to unplug at the best of times, don't know why anyone would glue it TBH.

You can try a little bit of heat and a knife or thin object to try to cut or separate the glue from the plastic housing.
