i9-10900K or 3900X or 3950X

For high end, Intel gaming, AMD for everything else.

I want to get a new rig primarily for gaming, I've looked at the AMD processors as I do a bit of video and photo editing here and there, but I am really looking for performance in games. What do you guys recommend? If AMD, should I wait for the new ones to come out? And any idea when the new AMD processors will come out?

primarily gaming, 10600k is your best bet

3700x if you also like to do more other stuff

As far as game performance goes, AMD is currently losing. Another option to consider is the 10600k, Gamers Nexus was able to get it to perform as good, and sometimes better than a 9900k when it comes to games. Recommend watching their video on it.

I'd imagine a 3900XT would do mighty fine in games.  And if you game at higher resolution then CPU won't matter for many games.
