That's weird.... this shouldn't happen especially in a laptop...( it should reach 90 degrees only at 100%)

I guess either the thermal paste is bad, or the fans aren't working, or the cpu cooler somehow moved and needs to be remounted....

Most probably it's the thermal paste....

Do the fans Spin under load ?

Maybe reseat the Laptop CPU and GPU cooler, check if the fans are properly connected.

Thermal paste should be still somehow liquid.

If it doesn't solve the problem then u need to repaste.

Can't u order any cheap thermal compound ? ( the TIM OEMs use isn't great)

A small amount of Arctic MX-4 is more than enough....

and remember to repaste BOTH CPU and GPU at the same time...

If u can RMA it then do it immediately (Opening up the laptop may void the warranty).

What are the GPU temps like ?

Use GPU Z to monitor them...

What are idle temps like ?

Yes

I do think they are connected , but will check anyway

Will repaste

I can, but don't have tools to open up the chassis

I will repaste both at the same time

Pretty sure the warranty's for a year

They get throttled at 87 C at nearly 50-60% usage

I use hwinfo

the below temps are at light load(5 chrome tabs, task manager, hwinfo)

thanks for the help mate!

If u don't have the tools to fix it, then take it to someone who can repaste it for u....

Otherwise there isn't much that u can do about it without damaging your laptop...

U only need a screw driver to open it up... (but BE CAREFUL)
