6990 - PSU for testing

Hello!!!

 

A quality 500w power supply, in my opinion, is not enough to daily power a Radeon 6990.

 

Is it enough to, at least, test this graphics card, for 1 hour?

 

I'm planning to test with Unigine Heaven, maybe undervolting the GPU.

 

And I can try to test, in a build with low power consumption.

 

The best PSU that i got, is a EVGA 500B, but I have Thermaltake Smart 500W too, which is not a bad PSU.

500W is already really tight for a system with a 6990, and neither of those two PSUs are particularly decent even.

I wouldn't try powering it with either of them personally.

I would try(to kill it) with the not bad(but trash) Smart psu.
