Is it safe to ultrasonically clean a CPU

Got some super hard thermal paste on it and want to give it a good clean

Can you not get rid of it with 90% alcohol ?

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

 

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

CBA waiting 1 month for it to arrive from china. Want to clean it quickly so I can put it back. Also want to get the chewing gum of my chipset

I don't know any other "safe" way to do it other than alcohol or maybe wiping it off (although I doubt that will work )

Try with some acetone, widely available on brick and mortar drugstore. Or nail polish cleaner would be good if you willing to risk your cpu to smell like roses for a while.

nail polish remover? or some type of alcohol based cleaner.

 

if you have a plastic tool maybe you can scrape it off. but I would not use a metal tool.
