Not surprised if someone had liquid helium leftover from 10900k OC competition so they poured it over poor Athlon

Extreme overclocking. Just needed to last long enough for the validation process. So yes. 

But even a stock CPU today is likely "faster" than that overclocked monster.

Seeing as 8,8ghz is doable, certainly not impossible. But its CPU-Z, its more about brute forcing the system to boot an open CPU-Z. Not much more.

Yes, only 37 GFLOPS FP64 for this Athlon 64 X2 at 9.25 GHz.

 

Ryzen 9 3950X stock (4.3 GHz all cores turbo mode) can to execute 1.1 TeraFLOPS FP64 (16 double precision per cycle per core). It means almost 30 times faster than that overclocked monster :D
