ryzen 3 3100 with cheap a320m?

I am a noob. i may be wrong. I am planning to buy 3100 this week. But what if i buy a a320m motherboard? I mean they are cheaper than b450. Other than the future proof, what is the advantage of b450 over a320

Theres not too much different but the B450's have oc & are generally better boards, better quality.

PC - i7 12700K | EVGA FTW3 3090 | Corsair H150i | ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A | 32GB Corsair Vengance | Lian Li O11 Evo & EVGA 1k PSU

An a320 board likely won't have support for 3rd gen ryzen. Most B450 come with support for ryzen 3000 out of the box, A320 probably doesn't even have support for 3rd gen especially out of the box. So even if it does have support you'll need a 1st gen CPU or a boot kit from AMD to update the BIOS.

I recently upgraded an A320 to b450.

It will work fine and the cpu will boost as stock.

I just told you, B450 has overclocking that the A320 doesn't. A320 does have support but MAY need a bios update.

Yes, you can use an A320 fine. Or buy a B450.

It's not about the sellers, the software doesn't exist for a lot of a320 boards to support 3rd gen.

I used Asus Prime A320M-K. It was good for running Ryzen 5 1400 and Corsair 3000mhz LPX memory.

Recently retired it actually. Never had any issues with it.
