Deleting tags while editing posts

VEXICUS

I have noticed that once u tag a post and save a post, u cannot delete the tag by editing the post. Option must be provided to delete the tags as sometimes some people get tagged accidently nd it becomes impossible to delete the tags.

I mean people just need to read the thing twice before posting it rather than just ranting on and then posting it..

What browser, and on mobile or desktop? This sounds like bug than feature missing.

You should be able to remove the mention by putting the caret after it and backspacing. If that's not the case for you, what browser are you using and on what OS?

Using chrome 81.0.4044.138 on Android 6.0.1. But this happens on my iPad as well as my PC also.

Okay....I will demonstrate you this thing.

Someone tag me and logicaldrm and write something.

Like this and then submit reply.

After that, click edit...and try erasing logicaldrms tag.

I was trying to refer to the quote thingy.

Oh, you mean quotes?

Unfortunately that's a known issue with the editor in Chrome on Android, and not something that we can control. However, it should work on other devices (at least on desktop, and I thought iOS worked too but I don't have an iOS device to easily test with) by either backspacing from before the quote or clicking on the quote and pressing backspace.

Does it not work on devices other than Android for you though?
