dont need to move = ethernet

need to move = wifi

If you judge a fish based on its ability to climb trees it will go its whole life thinking its a failure.

Ethernet is the preferred setup.

Wifi can be fine for casual gaming, internet browsing, ect. but your mileage may vary.

yes but that involves unplugging stuff tbh without more context this question is kinda pointless

WIFI for conveience, ethernet for everything else.

Depending on your networking setup, location, neighbour's network setups, wifi can be very unreliable. (I have daily constant drop outs, I cannot run a physical connection to my room unfortunately) Whole side of the building is a dead zone due to interference issues..

Where if I was able to have a direct ethernet connection, it'd just work. No fuss.

If you can run a cable to the computer's location there is no reason not to do so. It will always be a more reliable connection.
