Explain Your Username

DLM_012

My name comes from the days when I was probably about 12 and I was playing Habbo Hotel, but had heard that it was full of paedophiles and I wanted a name that would protect me from them so I went for something that didn't seem childish :D It worked xD

I go by... Xvantok! It originally goes back to choosing my avatar in Pokemon's name, so it had to be short as the Pokemon names are i think under 10? or 12? characters. anyway, I decided it by combining my favorite letter: X (I had no idea what else to go on) as its frequently used in maths and sounds mysterious.  I then went about combining it with other letters so it sounded like a word and voila: Xvantok! another great feature is that it is never taken so I don't have to add numbers, etc to it.  I also go by the alias of monsieur_awesome on steam, etc which came from me messing around looking for gmail accounts for YouTube and I came up with monsieur (french for mr) awesome which sounded pretty good and again isn't taken! my last alias is Master_Wither as it just sounds damn cool.

Also, please don't go sign up for everything with these names cause it would be so damn annoying!

It Won't Fail Cause of Me.

I go by either theandrewhead or iTraf online, depending on the type of website.

theandrewhead is just my name with "the" added to the start of it so that I can sign up for stuff with my own name

iTraf is my gamertag, and it stems from a random parody ad that I saw for a joke air freshener while watching tv one night. The "product" was called Traf, and was marketed as being like "A fart in reverse". I added an "i" to the beginning because I like apple products

For me, the name JarJarBanksy came about as an epiphany. I realized out of the blue, "Hey! Binks is just two letters away from Banksy, and they sound super similar! They could totally be one name!"

So it was and so it shall be.

Ironically, someone I was playing TF2 with once pointed out that there is an irony to it. JarJar Binks is a super commercialized character. Banksy is a street artist who is most certainly against corporations and politics as we know it. There is a huge contrast between the two. It's almost like some sort of statement or something. Maybe about the popularity and how much of it has been commercialized, etc.

I don't know man. For me it's just a name.

Spin off from Cypher from the matrix, with one of my favourite numbers. I actually regretted using this screen name here since I have used it for forums when I was like 12 lol... so I usually go by BigPaus, like Steam. I'm not even a bigger guy actually lol... I just used it from a name my friend gave his rather large cat who used to LAN with us as well haha.

I saw SmallBeans do a video on where he got his name from, which was an xBox generated name. I created an account after, and I got something like NeatSquid04857348957 or somthing stupid. I liked it.

It's because my name works in a lot of other words. My name is Dan, which is super generic, and the obvious ones are always taken, so I have to resort to Iron Dan, Danonymous, etc... if those are taken I have started going with Pudgy Astronaut because that's like never taken... That one came from a game of mad gab.

Hi

Mine was originally my Gamertag on Xbox Live originating in 2002.... but after some issues with the service I had to change to Abusiv3Original. well i finally convinced XBL to resurrect my former GT, and somehow they were even able to maintain my previous account standings. Whatever. The alias took on life and grew over the years, many people meeting me in the highlight years of Halo 2 and spending hours or even days with me before asking if I played H2... only to find out hey had actually played against me and recognized my tag immediately.
Now I plan to keep up the reputation and parlay it into a gaming based business.

Oh I still play halo as ABUSIV3, but for everything else I go by DarrellCoopersmith which is an obscure reference to the character played by Anthony Rapp  in " Adventures in Babysitting"

It seems that some aspect of society cant get over the implications of the monicur and it ends up being far more dramatic than necessary.
