The last time I played any Online mode hackers were present and more than willing to just muck it up.  I don't see this getting any better now.

Too much traffic, the site/download servers can't handle the influx, keep trying you'll get in.

I've been getting the same for the past 45minutes, keep trying, its DLing for me now. I had to restart the Epic Launcher a few times as well...

sounds like a quiet day on GTA Online

Great.  Here is a helpful hint for new online players.  On the map you'll see these icons that look kinda like a running dog floating around.    Chase them.  If you manage to pet them the game will give you 100,000 in bonous money!

Just kidding.  If you are a new player and see that it is a freaking flying motorcycle that fires homing missiles.  Lots of jerks will kill new players just to improve their K/D ratio.    So when you see one RUN.

I play it and have for years.  Most modder/hacker types will avoid messing with people who have a higher rank since they fear we may also know how to mod/hack or just be very resourceful and able to retaliate.  Which is a very toxic way to behave.   It is like something out of a prison.

Honestly I’m probably just gonna get it to play campaign until they get he bike shit fixed, the mk1 was okay, but I being able to fly forever is op as fuck.

Watch a youtube Channel called "The Professional".  He'll teach you ways to mitigate that bike.  The thing is there is no really good way to avoid it killing you if you are not a very resourceful player (unless you are a modder/hacker then you can control every aspect of the game, use "god mode" etc.)   

In short, that bike is going to be there for a while.  R* makes money off GTA by selling "shark cards"  Normally GTA$8 million for $100 down to GTA$100,000 for $2.99 or some such.  

Purist would say you should never ever resort to those but plenty of people will.   I did after about a month buying something called the "criminal enterprise starter pack".  I don't regret it...but then I invested that money in buying businesses, and grinded for cululatively hundreds of millions to buy every business.   That would be my only real hint.  Do whatever you have to buy a business and then use it to make more money to buy more businesses.  Don't waste money on cars or vehicles unless they help with business.  

Once you have   CEO office,  CEO Warehouse, Import export (car) warehouse, Biker clubhouse,  Weed, Coke, Meth, Doccument forgery, and counterfiet, and the bunker (for making illicit guns to sell) THEN buy nice things like a night club, Casino penthouse or arcade.  (The last three should be bought in order to get the full experience.)

Oh, neither do I. But at least I can mess around in single player with mods. Never put much time or stock in GTA, but for free I won't complain.

I remember watching my fat 12 year old nephew play and all he did with his other 12 year old buddies was run around and kill people trying to do their own thing. I miss the GTA4 online where people were chill and let you do your own thing if you wanted and it wasn't infested with pre-teens.

 

Where's @Polemical to announce this? Curious if he guessed GTAV since he was so sure.

Turns out, I was wrong on the mystery game. Not ruling it out as being one of the next free mystery games though because of the clues in the picture.

 

I didn't create a topic on GTA 5 yet because I'm unable to even visit the Epic website. It's been down since breakfast.

 

I did just create a post of a few other games that are free today.

Yup, it's pretty bad. And with bullshit added like the Oppressor MKII, it's just not very fun to play any more.

EPIC obviously paid a shit ton of money to Rockstar to make this happen, just to get more people on their platform. It's better than exclusivity deals, but damn, talk about a way to get people onto your service... By making a ridiculously popular and well known game like GTA 5, free.

Hey, the game is still worth buying regardless.

It sucks that your friend could've saved money, but no one knew GTA 5 would be free today. If the game was worth to them the money they paid yesterday, then it was worth it.
