VR is extremely taxing, even on top of the line hardware.
Though the 570 is technically compatible (the absolute minimum requirement) with VR I'd not recommend low spec VR on anything below  a 580 8GB or 6GB 1060

Hello! I've been researching the parts to make a gaming computer and since I also want vr I wanted to get a GPU good enough for oculus quest, I already have a AMD Ryzen 5 3400g and I'm planning on getting the gigabyte Radeon rx570 4GB should I get it? Or should I reconsider?

I would also reconsider the CPU. AMD just released the new architecture budget CPUs (3100 and 3300x) which are cheaper and have better performance. No onboard graphics, but you don't really need those if you use a GPU.

Here is an extensive review you can also see how they compare to the more expensive 3400G. I would definitely get your money back if you already own it, because there is no reason to buy a 3400G aside from having no GPU in your system right now.
