X570 Motherboard suggestion || Frist Gaming PC

Hello

looking for some suggestion here.

I have selected below specs for my first gaming PC.

Ideally looking to be future proof so I can use Ryzen 4000 series PCU when released and a bit of overclocking if possible/needed.

made some changes:

3600 isn't much different from the 3600x (not worth the price difference)

120mm aio coolers are weaker than cheap air coolers

picked a cheaper mobo that is as good

better case with airflow (still white)

So you reckon Asus TUF is a good one to handle 12 cores easily in future ? if I plan on to swap out with Ryen 9 3950X or something ? or any Ryzen 4xxx ? 

Thanks for your advice on cooler... will this support radiators and water cooling if needed in future ?

I was initially inclined towards X570-E but there is a lot of talking about 16 phase PWM which I am clueless about hence my ask here

I run a 3900x on the Tuf it is fine.  it is recommended because of its very good power delivery system, which I am hoping can run the next gen Ryzen - if I see a reason to upgrade.

 

I alsao run an AIO on the board, no issues with clearance, and that is with the block being the pump, so unlikely to be any issues with a custom water loop.

 

If you meant the case, it is a mid tower case, it will be fine, and also you still need good airflow even if water cooling, RAM/VRM both need some air flow to keep cool.

 

I don't really understand the whole 'phase power' delivery system, nor am I inclined to learn.  I just went by what experts said of that delivery system and which boards had the best within my budget, and the Tuf was described by several people as having excellent power delivery, up there with boards that cost a lot more.

The X570-E is a bit more expensive than the boards I've mentioned but it's a really good board. That being said, with the Tomahawk coming in at $200, it looks like there won't be much point in spending more than that.

Also, even the TUF X570-PLUS in @boggy77's build above should be adequate for a 3950X, even with PBO enabled, especially if you have some airflow around the VRM heatsinks.

I can understand the view, the B450 Tomahawk is a very good board, but I would rather wait until people get hands on, test it and see whether any corners were cut before I would recommend it.

yes, the tuf is fine with a 12 core cpu.

ok so looks like I will wait for MSI MAG X570 TOMAHAWK to be released here in the UK.

I already purchased RAM and 3600X( as it was nly £2 0more on sale a few days ago)

just need to wait on GPU lol

ya...and getting a UPS or Surge Protectors will help in overclocking...xD...my 3200g couldn't overclock without it..the integrated graphics running at 1750mhz now...wasn't able to pass stock before..the ram was 2666mhz now 2933mhz...all i do is getting a surge protector...

my room already has a surge protector so my pc overclocks well too..xD

but idk why it won't overclock well without them..=p

Also 3600x and RAM was purchased a week ago.

 

I have changed GPU solely due to availability

probably delayed shipments in regards to the tomahawk. dunno when it will come along, but you can just grab a Tuf or elite. they will deliver more than adequate powerdelivery.
