Entry-level Ht Sound Recommendation?

wpirobotbuilder

I am looking for a sound setup which will run off audio from a Roku 2 or 3 (haven't picked out which one yet). The only constraint I can see is it needing to have an HDMI input with a video passthrough. Can anyone recommend a good entry-level sound system with this capability? 5.1 would be nice but not essential, 2.1 would be fine. Price range under $250 would be ideal.

I don't, that's one of the components I'm looking for recommendations on.

receivers can get expensive. your budget is just enough for a quality receiver. if youre just lookin for connectivity, get the cheapest one you can find. Denon, Yamaha and Marantz are good brands.
