Anyone noticed the shortage of power supplies?

Recommended Posts

I have been having constant issues with my PC and narrowed it down to probably my PSU getting too old.
I've recently also upgraded nearly everything but my gpu and psu but searching around for psu's it seems im shit out of luck. Everythings gone and on backorder for 2 weeks to a month. I havent had issues ordering any other part including my RAM.

Perhaps it's a regional thing? Just checked my local retailer and they have plenty of PSUs in stock.

This is frustrating as my computer has essentially become unusable for anything but web searching.

Closest thing to a local retailer in Arizona, USA is Best Buy and theyre sold out of everything. But I checked Amazon and Newegg and it doesn't seem like I can even order one from somewhere else and have it arrive in under 2 weeks.

SFX power supplies have taken the biggest hit.

I FEEL THAT. just paid way too much for the corsair SF450 and i don't think it's enough for my 2070S and i7-7700k if i add some sata drives.  i'm used to much higher power overhead and the 600W version was sold out.

If the manufacturers ship containers directly to Canada, then there shouldn't be a problem in Canada.

The problem is the 25% tariff on products from China going into the U.S.

What is it you're looking for?

Not everyone is out of everything.  Are you looking for a particular make/model or just a particular wattage within a particular price range?

Damn dude... SF Series is the rarest PSU of all right now.  :(

Good for you.
