700$ gaming pc?

CartertheCOCguy

Oh. Gross. Why would you limit yourself like that.

You also mentioned you're considering upgrading to a 770. You'd need a new case. Why not just get a bigger one now.

true, i might go for the cm elite 120 then.....

what about the stock cooler or the noctua l9i?

The intel stock cooler is enough for cooling it. But the thermal compound isn't great and the cooler isn't either. That noctua will perform slightly better but be much quieter while doing so. vvHowever it's oriented at even weaker CPUs. It has a TDP of up to 65W. The i5 has more. The scythe shuriken is bigger and cheaper. But when i think about it, the scythe isn't too great either. A good cooler would be the scythe kabuto II or thermaltake bigTyp revo.

who cares...

how about this build? http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2Xq1M

The 4670K but you're sacrificing stuff for it. The motherboard you chose doesn't even support overclocking, so there's no point of choosing the 4670K. If i was you I'd stick with the 4570 and get a good B85 board for around $80 Invest that money into a CX 500M (you will need the modularity, no matter what PSU you choose), and maybe into a  bigger cooler, as stated above.

who cares...

It's copper, it has heatpipes, it's zalman. So good actually. But still pretty small, espeically for the 4670K you chose. A larger build would make this easier. The CM 212 Evo costs only 30 bucks but cools like a champ.

will not fit......:(

I wouldn't go with a business class board. H81 is a better choice if you're going with a cheaper board.

You could probably squeeze a R7 270(x) out of it if you tried but certainly not a 760.

I accept that challenge.

That PSU is on sale, and XFX is usually rebranded SeaSonic, which is extremely reliable. It also includes a 5 year warranty. Worst case, some of the reviews noted that XFX would replace their products with higher grade ones.

Same build as @

but with the 750 ti (the EVGA FTW version, because it's BAWLER)

and with a Seagate hard drive.

Also, a 23" IPS monitor, and a cheap Mouse/Keyboard set.

Case: Lian Li PC011-D - CPU: 3900x - GPU: 2080ti Reference - Mobo: Gigabyte - Ram: Corsair 4x16gb 3200MHz - SSD: 2TB Samsung Evo NVME

Here you go,

Adds like 20 bucks (because I can't stand a non Modular PSU... And you won't be super happy with one either in an ITX case.
