Where can you get a 3770K for $229.99!? That is only $10 more than the average 3570K!

If you haven't bought already, here are my recommendations:

- Downgrade to i5 3570K and save $100.

- Upgrade to Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz RAM for an additional ~$15

- Upgrade to GTX 670 if you can

- Upgrade your PSU to something 80+ certified, but on the 500W side to be safe

- Get a better case, like the CM Haf 912 Advanced for $20 more

Total additional cost probably ~$100

Would be far superior.

haf 912 isnt better at all, by any stretch of the imagination, i dont need that much gpu for what im doing, not oc'ing/upgrading so psu is fine. But, the ram probably does need to be beefier

I'm going to echo what's been recommended, but stick with an i5 3470 or something. The added hyperthreading of the i7 will not bring any performance increase in the games you listed, as they simply will not utilize the extra threads. Most games are hardly utilizing 4-cores these days, anything more is excessive unless you are also going to be rendering or something. Microcentre also has some great deals for the i5's too, you can save quite a bit of money from that.

I wouldn't bother upgrading the memory as others have said though, the performance difference is minimal with most applications. 1333mhz is fine, most memory kits are the same these days so I usually just recommend the cheapest you can get.
