Ryzen 3700x Low Cinebench Score

Hi Guys

I was benchmarking my pc to show to a friend and my scores were sturggling to hit 5000pts on Cinebench R20. I have had these scores up to nearly 10k before.

I am running my chip at 4.2ghz and its hitting temps of 68*C

No programs are running in the background

I am stumped

Any ideas?

Many thanks

George

is cinebench the only software with performance problems?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

10k? the problem isn't your performance, its your memory 🤣

FYI, stock 3700x is ~4800

10k Points

Running my memory at 3400mhz and 4.2Ghz on the cpu and still scraping the 4000 points

I get slightly better than average scores on PassMark :)

No, that's impossible. Your CPU, if scoring close to 5k in R20, is performing fine and better than normal.

Then I think it's just a software issue with your R20 install, you could try R15 or just refer to other benchmarks.

10k points is more than your average 3950X will score, no way you ever actually got that score, likely it was a bug or you're remembering it wrong.
