Starting from the top

 

24 Port Cat6 Patch Panel - 1RU

Netgear GS748t 48 Port Gigabit Switch - 1RU

Blanking Panel - 1RU

The white box is a phone line splitter for the homephone in the kitchen

Blanking Panel - 1RU

Shelf - 2RU

Shelf - 1RU

5 Outlet Power rail - 1RU (AT BACK)

 

I need some more hardware for my rack, I was thinking of a UPS.  I would also like to get a Y Splitter cable for the phoneline.

Wish i had a rack, don't have the money for either a rack or rack cases :(

More racks! Unfortunately it would not make sense for me to have as I'm just one user at my home, but would be sweet to see others. :) Great initiative.

If my parents let me wire the house with Ethernet, my rack would be awesome.

But they won't.

I know, but my house is over 100 years old, so it would be a PITA to do it too.

its QOS on steroids with layer 7 packet inspection, it also compress data going out but someone delete the license on it

I was going to buy a rack server and put it in the data center near me but it was too much to put it in a data center (i was going to host a dayz server )

Would you guys be interested in me posting what my uni lab offers? From the top of my head they have Cisco 2950 switches and routers(not sure of the model) for students to play with.

I don't have a rack, I've just stacked mine up at the moment in the corner :( 

but I've got my freeNAS sever with "baby's first switch" sitting in my wardrobe
