Gigabyte RX 5700 XT underperforming

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

So I recently bought a Gigabyte RX 5700 XT Gaming OC GPU, but when I compare my benchmarks to some I’ve seen on YouTube and other sites and such, it performs well lower, like ~30% lower sometimes.

I would just like to know what is causing this?My best guess is that something is bottlenecking me but I don’t think I’m savvy enough to know for sure or by what, or maybe something else is wrong? Really don’t know. Thank you.

Probably the CPU, unless it's overclocked it's not fast enough to keep up.

First of all, tons of the "benchmarks" on YouTube are simulated performance, so you won't get true performance results unless you get a video of someone actually holding up and introducing the product.

Second, tell us your games and performance target. What ram config do you have?

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

That look normal except your Physics score is slight lower. It's not overclocked right?

Which youtube video you comparing it to? What game and what FPS did you get?

No its not overclocked

And this video is one example

On his FFXV Benchmark (at 3:30) on 1080p and High settings he got a score of ~10000 while I barely got ~7000. (score is based off FPS)

6700K is likely a bottleneck.
