CPU overclock failed, I need help. Plsss 馃ズ

So, I wanted to overclock my CPU and experimented around in the bios (my first CPU overclock btw.) and I cranked the CPU 聽Vcore to the max because it didn鈥檛 work before (I got an boot fail) . Then I reseted the cmos (I put the battery out and waited 10 mins) now my PC is starting and my mouse and keyboard are lighting up (didn鈥檛 happen before the reset) but my monitor shows black (it gets a signal). I don鈥檛 think it doesn't聽boots in Windows because when I press the shutdown button it鈥檚 off almost instantly. Pls help and tell me if u need the specs聽

Your probably fried your CPU from maxing out the VCORE voltage. That's is literally the one thing you do not want to do that too, and if you did any kinda of researching on overclocking you would have been warned about cranking voltage like that.聽

How high is max Vcore? Most boards set a unreasonably high limit even without unlocking anything (like 1.6V for my board, I know some can do even 1.8V) which kills CPUs.

Even though you havent mentioned what CPU you're using, you're smoked since most CPUs run 1V to 1.2V at stock.聽+0.68V is enough to push idle voltage way deep into unsafe territory for any CPU still worth using today

I鈥檓 using amd fx 6350. It was time for a new cpu anyway so who cares :(

Like most of them said, you most likely killed it but if you do聽want to see if it was some how聽okay, re-seat the MOB BIO's battery聽to see聽if you still have a working system. Or just trip the BIO's pins if you know which ones.聽聽I am on the FX-8320 set to 1.3850V "STOCK" for most 8000-FX chips. Also if it does work, here's a video i recommend to get started with overclocking if you still even want to.聽
