Kingston UV400 240GB or Kingston A400 480GB

Like the title says.
My system currently runs a Kingston UV400 240GB as the main boot drive, it replaced a Micron MX100 256GB that had the drop out at random times even after firmware update problem.
The UV400 running fine and all but I'm finding myself a bit limited as far as free space left goes.

I was gifted a lightly used Kingston A400 480GB. From what I understand the A400 drive is budget drive, but it's newer than the UV400 and double the capacity.
I was wondering if the better performance SSDs get when they come in larger capacities would be enough to offset the tier difference and if it was worth the hassle of going through the process to switch to it.

Please do not recommend buying a Micron BX/MX whatever to me. I've just got a BX300 120GB that came back from a RMA and was upgraded to a BX500 120GB, it was nice of Micron to upgrade the drive, but that's two failures for me. Plus, I already have the A400 480GB on hand.

UV500 was Kingston's previous SATA flagship and it has DRAM while A400 doesnt (increasing latency), so I would say "no, A400 cannot replace UV500's performance". but cant you use both drives at the same time?

I suppose I could run them both at the same time, but "Change where new content is saved" can be wonky at times.
Thanks for the input.
