So i have 3000mhz 2x8gb hyperx ram but in task manager it says its working on 2400mhz

Title. Im a total pc noob so im sorry if i dont get this. I was snooping around my task manager and read that my ram speed is running at 2400mhz. I have 3000mhz ram so is this supposted to be like this or am i supposted to change it myself? If so, how do i change it?

Depends on your mobo.

Most boards are either F2, F8, F10, F12, or Del.

try pressing the delete key when the mobo logo shows up whle booting up
