400 to 500 euro PC and monitor for my friend

Fadednova

Hello,

My friend recently finished saved up for a new gaming PC. It will be his first pc since he currently only owns a macbook. He is looking for a gaming pc and monitor in the price range of 400 - 500. I have already built one PC and am somehat adequate with it. Which parts should I get? I live in austria, thanks in advance!

400-500 euro? For gaming PC with monitor? Using new parts?

It will be "gaming", but you must expand definition of "gaming" then. Like - games from 2010 are games too. :)

Cheap motherboard, cheap case, cheap AMD Ryzen 3 or Intel i3 and some good GPU and cheap monitor and MAYBE 500 euros will be enough.

@Fadednova What games does he want to play? Maybe check on willhaben.at for a used motherboard with cpu.

There are practically no listings on willhaben where I live and the ones that are listed are either very old or too expensive

Ok, so what games should run on this PC? Do you have any old hardware around that can be reused for this computer?

Ok here we go, the monitor is only a suggestion, there are others. I would highly recommend going for 16 GB DDR4 because you will need about 2 GB for the onboard GPU.
