Laptop Not Connecting to FireTV (Screen Mirror)

So title, basically.

My laptop is unable to connect to the FireTV for screen mirroring, I've been able to before but it doesn't want to connect anymore.

It gives me the message "try to connect through action center", windows and FireTV are both up to date.

I've searched through the interwebs far and wide for answers but found nothing useful.

My memory is a bit hazy but a while ago I installed Bitdefender total security and that's when I started having some issues.

But when I disable Bitdefender, nothing changes.

Well this may be the answer to your problem. Instead of disabling it try to get rid of it completely and see if this will change anything

I forgot to mention, I've been able to screen mirror even with Bitdefender enabled but for only that 1 day that I got it to work.

I just had to turn off Bitdefender's firewall and it connected

But the quality of the videos that get mirrored have always been really low quality, like it goes from looking 1080p to 360p and it goes back and forth. I don't know if it's the distance of the laptop and FireTV or something else. I've had 1080p quality from the same distance before, so I don't know what it is.
