HDMI Hub? options for those without usb-c/thunderbolt

As for many of you guys I'm currently working from home. I've brought the laptop from work but would like to use my monitors from my gamingrig to do work on. I miss multiple monitors for work.

The laptop I have doesn't have USB-C or Thunderbolt though so I am a bit confused on what options I have.

Laptop: HP Pavilion Notebook - 15-ab212no / 5CD6116BXD / P7T74EA#UUW

I have three HDMI monitors for my desktop, sadly required to work from my laptop due to the nature of content I work with. Would be much appreciated if anyone has suggestions for any way to connect at least 2 monitors to the laptop.

Sincerely

duxck

Get a docking station that support two monitors and plug the third monitor into the HDMI of your laptop.

Example of a docking station: https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Universal-Docking-Station-Ethernet/dp/B00ECDM78E

This specific model supports 1920x1200@60Hz or 2560x1440@50Hz, do check if that is enough. Comes with DVI and HDMI connector, but also a HDMI to DVI cable, meaning you only need three HDMI cables, to connect the displays to your laptop/docking station. A USB docking station has its own videocard, meaning it's not recommend to do heavy videocard work (like 3D modeling) on your monitors connected to a docking station.

Optionally go into Control Panel's energy settings, so you can close your laptop lid without it turning off

Thank you for the suggestions. That is exactly what I need. At the moment i've bene using windows remote desktop to get higher resolution. But damn it has some major shitty latency while typing and moving the cursor.

Will have a look at that and other products like it. thanks again.
