Witch cpu i shoud get for an upgrade

So last year i did put together a pc, that was meant for light video editing in premiere pro. 

I bought these parts:

- amd ryzen 5 1600 6 core 12 thread

- corsair vengence lpx 32gb 3200mhz ram( but ram was not running full speed so i removed 2 sticks and in bios set them xmp 3200)

- asus rog strix 2060 oc (witch i got seeet deal on, 600~ eur to justover 400~ and a free cod mw game

- msi tomahawk max b450 motherboard

 

My question is witch cpu i shoud get as an upgrade. 

 

Ryzen 9 3950x or 3900x

 

 

I want to upgrade cuz i want to put back those 2 ramsticks and utilize zem at full 3200mhz. Money is not issue. I could go the 3950x. Just thinking of witch would be better option with mentioned parts above.

If price is not an issue, the 3950x is a hell of a chip. But that said, I would be a little worried about the VRM on your motherboard. 

 

According to this, it should be ok if you don't overclock at all. I would watch the VRM temps though, and you don't want the VRM failing. I just had a VRM fail on my mobo and it took my 8700k out with it, and I had a hell of an 8700k, lowest volts I have EVER seen for 5 GHz :/. Just something to think about.

If all you care about is 32GB of 3200 MHz memory, you can sell your 4x8GB kit and get a 2x16GB kit and run them at 3200 MHz. You mention light video editing so you have to decide if a CPU upgrade is worth that much to you now. You can also wait for 4th gen and get that or get 3rd gen for lower prices by then.

You might need to upgrade you motherboard for the 3950X, it a really good VRM but it might not fail while OCing, so to be on the safe side, that would require an upgrade too.

I would personally get the 3900x and keep the money saved to upgrade other parts of the PC.

Get the 3900x, the 3950x isn't that much better for Premiere Pro

Either of those would require a mobo upgrade as well.  Take that into consideration, and you probably wouldn't want to use either of those chips on an entry level X570 board.

Rest of the parts are okey. And the cpu prices arent too different

Wouldnt be the same issue with them. Running only at 2100~mhz

extra question about my mobo or pottentional mobo upgrade.

 

if i pair

- AMD Ryzen 9 3900X with MSI Tomahawk and corsair lpx vengance 32gb 3200MHz - will it work ull 3200mhz?

- AMD Ryzen 9 3900X with ASUS ROG Strix X570-F. with same ram will it go full 3200Mhz?
