B450 Chipset Motherboards

Did any of you have any problems using Ryzen 5 3600 with B450 chipset boards. If yes, can you tell me how you overcame them. Thanks!

Most b450 motherboards at this point support Ryzen 3000 out of the box. If they don't you can take advantage of AMD's CPU loaner program to update the bios when you get the board.

No. Why do you suspect issues?

Help build 2x systems with B450 motherboards in the last 3 months, and it just worked right out of the box.

One system with a Ryzen 3600X, and another with a 3800X.

BIOS might not be the most up-to-date, but should have a version that supports Ryzen 3000 series from the factory by now.

I suspect issues due to the fact that the people have issues with the 3000 series. I mean comments on B450 boards even though some boards say that they are 3000 ready out of the box.

Sample size of one -- I bought a GIGABYTE B450 AORUS PRO WIFI labelled "AMD Ryzen 3000 Desktop Ready," and it worked fine out-of-the-box with my AMD Ryzen 5 3600X. No problems encountered, but it could also be due to Micro Center's top-notch, proactive service. YMMV, especially if you're looking at eBay/third-party seller offers.

Also I think it was the MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX that was pretty much guaranteed to work out-of-the-box with AMD Ryzen 3000s? That's always a safe option.

If you don't feel comfortable flashing the BIOS on your own, I believe Micro Center and Best Buy can help, provided you bought your parts from them (assuming you live in the U.S. and are close to a local store). You may or may not be charged additional costs, however.

You can ask the seller for confirmation. If the board isn't actually updated for the 3000 series and they say it is, you can ask for a refund.
