i7-7700HQ + 1050 or i5-7300HQ + 1050 Ti

Should I choose an i7-7700HQ + 1050 or i5-7300HQ + 1050 Ti. For mostly gaming at 1080p with occasional video editing.

Games I usually play are:

R6 siege

Csgo 

Cities skylines and Forza horizon 4

Are those the only options you have? That is 2-3 generation old tech. Unless you get a really good deal on it I'd recommend never hardware. It'll run faster while consuming less power.

 

The i5 + 1050 ti should be better for gaming tho

i5-7300HQ + 1050 Ti will provide a better gaming experience.

The i5 + 1050 Ti will deliver better gaming experience, but the i7 + 1050 will deliver better video editing experience.

 

If your priority is gaming, then I would suggest you to get the i5 + 1050Ti. But, if you do video editing frequently, I strongly recommend you to get the i7 + 1050 configuration.

 

i5-7300HQ + GTX 1050 Ti is more likely to stutter and lag during video playback, and the i5-7300HQ's lack of cores will stretch render time on your videos.

Yeah these are the only two good ones for around $350 that I can find
