Is this good enough?

Well I prefer air cooling myself, I tend to think it will make me sleep better at night lol. So if you are like me I would say either the one I got the Be Quiet! Dark Rock 4 or the over the top Dark Rock 4 Pro. I don't think there is an insane amount of cooling difference between them but the Pro version sure looks good! It comes with a price premium though. If you want water I'm sure the Corsair radiator Mr.PC provided in his list will do a great job.

Yeah totally mate, replacing parts gets expensive in the long run. There are new video cards that should start to come out in the coming summer though, so if you can you may want to wait for that? It's the Nvidia RTX 3000 series, I think they will start with the 3080 Ti.

Because of this crazy pandemic going around, I think 3080Ti may be delayed and I really prefer to have something by end of April, so the build above may be a great investment for now. I've quoted it with PCSPECIALIST and it's working out at £3,100 for build, delivery and 3 years cover :)

Now, maybe talk about monitor and speakers? Lol

I just wanted to make sure you where in the awares, so to speak. ;)

Got any budget for display and audio? Also maybe you would like a big TV as a monitor or would you prefer something like an ultra wide gaming monitor? What about a fully flegded surround system for audio?

Not much of a buget, but something that'll take advantage of the graphics card and I prefer something like 21". Anything in terms of sound, I know a lot of speakers have decent prices for quality and not too fussed about extremely amazing sound, as I won't really be blaring it or so

Yeah, if you get something 1080p 60hz you are just wasting money on that GPU. You could've gone for a 2060 or something but what about this? It is not cheap but it is 165Hz with 1ms refresh rate.

I'm thinking you should have something with above 60Hz. 60 Hz is very low even for my machine (in sig) but there are cheaper monitors than this with 100+ hz.

Looks like a nice monitor! so, probs minimum refresh rate around 120Hz is what to look for then? Thanks for all the info!

Yeah, no lower than that. Probably best with 1ms refresh and not with dynamic contrast. Also remember that monitors can be overclocked. My 60Hz main panel is running at 75Hz. Just a tip. ;)

You're welcome.

Yep 2070 equivalent. I think the RX580 is maybe more equivalent with 1070. At least if it has 8GB memory, I may be wrong though.

As someone who went from a 580 to a 1070, the 1070 is definitely a step above. I believe the 580 catches up in GPGPU acceleration though as GCN has always been a compute heavy architecture.

Yeah I wouldn't expect to be a direct equivalent, but closer to 1070 more than a 1060.
