Ram Compatibility Help

Hello,

 

So I've recently bought an i5 9400F and an ASRock H310CM-HDV motherboard and was wondering if the Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 2666MHz Desktop RAM is compatible with them.

Yeah, that should work at the rated 2666MHz speed right out of the box, no issues. 

 

FYI if you want to see if a motherboard has verified a specific kit of memory, on the support page for the motherboard they have a "Memory QVL list", which lists every kit they have tested to work. In this case, it is here: https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H310CM-HDV/index.asp#Memory

You shouldn't need one, but it's a good idea to update it anyways once you get it (as long as you're reasonably confident your house won't lose power in the middle or anything, if there's a thunderstorm I'd probably wait). It should include things like fixes for security vulnerabilities, etc. released by Intel.
